Malaga – Older is Gold – Podenco Andaluz waiting forever
This is an appeal for forever homes for a couple of deserving podencos who have been waiting far too long for their families. They are both in Malaga, Spain, in the Old for Gold group on facebook. Please give them a chance. Anne explains
ANNIE
Annie was brought to us by the Guardia Civil. She was very emaciated and the soles of her feet were completely worn. Her feet really hurt her a lot. She had been reserved very soon after her arrival by someone who wanted to adopt her but then she turned out to be leishmaniasis positive and the people did not want her any more.Fortunately Annie does not have any symptoms. Annie is already an older lady who we
think was born in 2004.It is time for her to find some real happiness after living a very rough life. -
Podencos – adopt from an association – the refuges are full to bursting!
Thumbs up for the Podenco Andaluz! Coooeeee, I am Mickey at the back my galga girlfriend Olijfje and my friend Marleentje. We are adopted in Holland but I have many friends like me in Scooby in Spain who need a home themselves. We are little Podenco Andaluz, we are
very easy going, we love people and we are very friendly and careful with little children. In the house we are quite like galgo’s but we are hunters and we like to make your garden mouse free. Hope you will give my Scooby friends a chance.ALWAYS adopt from a recognised rehoming association, never adopt straight from a perrera where the dogs have not been character tested etc.

Podenca Andaluz Sunday – waiting for her forever home
Has anyone room in their heart and home for this little sweetie?
Hello, I’m writing to you about my little rescued podenco girl Sunday. She desperately needs a forever home. She was found on the street in May 2015 and has been staying with me since. I have taken care of all her vaccines and deparasiting + chipping, disease tests clean. Her sterilization is pending. She is currently with me in Fuengirola / Spain.
I have been contacting every organisation and private person I know for months but so far nothing. Please let me know if you can help with her case somehow else. Best, Ani Roschier.

Chiquita podenca, Merida, Badajoz, Extremadura, Spain…not a good address for hunting dogs
This is an appeal from Carolina Climent, in Badajoz, which is a very bad place for hunting dogs. Here’s her appeal.
‘I have at home a little family looking for good homes. All of them are looking for their families for ever. I rescued the Podenca Mom as she was abandoned in my village. Chiquita had just given birth under a rock, they are the mother and 4 pups, 3 males, 1 female.
Chiquita is a podenco and the pups mix of Breton and Podenco. The pups are 1 month and 14 days now and I need your help to spread the word to find them a place to be. I have been looking after them all this time and they are ready to go. I would travel a fair distance in order to introduce one of them to the adopter.
We are in Badajoz, in a village close to Mérida. Please do not hesitate to contact me for details. Thank you very much.’
