Podenca injured on motorway in Murcia – foster home needed
At the other end of the spectrum from the puppy, this 11 year old podenca was rescued injured from the middle of a motorway in Murcia! She has ben seen by a vet, has a problem on one of her front legs, and a problem in her mouth, which prevented her eating. She has been blood tested and is negative for diseases, but she is currently being kept in a garage and needs a foster home where she can recover for adoption.
She is very quiet and doesn’t have a problem with other dogs. Being an older lady, she spends a lot of time sleeping!Please contact maisatinto@hotmail.com if you can help.

Valencia podenco puppy urgently needs foster home
This 3 month old podenco puppy was found abandoned a couple of weeks ago and has been in foster. She has been named Nana. Sadly she can’t stay with the fosterers and so an appeal is out for another foster home, or she will have to go into a shelter. She is quiet, happy, likes other dogs, ok with cats, wants to play in between sleeping! She really needs to be in a home where she can be trained, rather than a kennels.

Aanifeira in Portugal – saving a blind podenco
We sometimes question the wisdom of spending valuable and scarce resources on saving very sick or injured animals but, given the choice, I’m sure we would all make the effort. How many lovely stories have we read about hounds saved – Esperanza, Alphonso, Ulysees, and now Miel. Hello my name is Chloe and I am a 2 year old bitch Podenco Canario with probably something else crossed in although I have been told that this is a good thing as it makes me easier to look after! I came to England from Lanzarote early in 2012 and immediately went into a new foster home, who have shown me how to be a clean girl in the house and make myself attractive to humans! This bit wasn’t difficult as I am very pretty and have a really nice way about me.

Podenco Mama and her Puppies in Seville waiting for forever homes
This is the beautiful Mama of two healthy Podenco puppies (male and female). They were rescued by Inma (Macu) in Seville and are in the shelter. They are two months old. The mother has a major infection in her ears, but she is already in veterinary treatment. Their names are Bimbo and Bimba.

Valencia Podenco Nika – now in the refuge but desperately needs a foster home for his medical treatment and rehabilitation
I can’t believe that no one has come forward to foster this poor boy, with a cord so tight round his neck, he couldn’t swallow. He shouldn’t be in the refuge, he needs a home environment for his medication and rehabilitation. Can no one help?!!

Valencia – foster urgently needed for Nika to recover!
Nika’s neck is healing well, he leaves the vet hospital tomorrow – Tuesday – but no one has come forward to foster him. Please please, anyone within travelling distance of Valencia, please help!
The volunteer walked him for a little while, but he is still very afraid of everything. He needs a house to recover, cures and give him medicatio. If he has to go to the shelter, it is not the best place to recover If anyone can host please call me 645985775 Maribel Martinez Moya

Almeria killing station – a Podenco Andaluz survives with Levriers du Sud
Do you remember these 3 terrified little babies, in Almeria perrera? There was confusion as to whether and which associations had saved them. Sadly, one of them died, but the other two were saved and went to Levriers du Sud in France. So now, let me introduce you to Gasby, rehomed already. Thank you to everyone involved in giving him and his sibling a forever life.
