Do you remember these 3 terrified little babies, in Almeria perrera? There was confusion as to whether and which associations had saved them. Sadly, one of them died, but the other two were saved and went to Levriers du Sud in France. So now, let me introduce you to Gasby, rehomed already. Thank you to everyone involved in giving him and his sibling a forever life.

Podenca Nieve – another survivor of hunting in Spain
Poor Nieve – just 1 1/2 years old, injured in a road accident. (photo when she was picked up) Her leg has now been operated on and the pins holding it have been removed, she doesn’t even walk with a limp! She is very quiet, calm and loving, good with children and other dogs. What a stunner – look at her now!

Seville – 3 Podenco Andaluz searching for homes
Seville podencos desperately needing homes. Little Billy is still waiting, rescued from the hands of a galguero. He’s 6 months old and vaccinated. He’s in a kennels at the moment, no place for a puppy to grow up. The other two are Bolo and Tadeo. They are all in Sevilla.
BOLO (below) is two years old and weighs 10 kg. He has very good character, gets along well with dogs and cats. He has been sterilized. TADEO (below left)is two and a half years old and weighs 11 kg. He has very good character, gets along well with dogs. He has been sterilized.

Jerez podenco – rescue from the flooded streets
This young podenco bitch, has had puppies, is 2 m from the main highway in Jerez. She is crossing fields and roads without knowing where go go. She has a hernia which needs operating on. Urgent – Cordoba Podenco to be killed by hunter – need a safe place for her
Urgently need to find somewhere for this beautiful little 2yr old podenca which the hunter does not want because she won’t hunt. He’s now going to kill her. She’s in a tiny kennel with two others, with only water, filthy dirty with excrement. In a town near Cordoba.

Pepis Refuge, Seville – dogs poisoned by local person! Please help
As if the volunteers helping the Spanish animals didn’t have enough to contend with,
rescuing and repairing abandoned dogs and cats, they suffer at the hands of those against what they do. Some people are just pure evil. Pepis Refuge near Seville recently suffered an horrendous attack on their dogs, Alan Brian tells the sickening story.‘It all started a few days ago for us, I say that because our vet told us it takes about 9 days to act, warferin or rat poison as it is better known. We had a beautiful chocolate brown podenco boy who had the most fantastic nature, we called him Chet. When we came to clean him one morning, we saw blood in his pen and he was looking quite sad.
