herewith the story of this little podenca, now safe with 112carlottagalgosa. Chael tells the story.
‘Yesterday while at the vets, we were about to leave when approached by a lady Susannah and her husband. For they had rescued an abandoned podenca, victim yet again of which owner or powers that be take responsibility. The norm in Spain, a daily occurrance and the hunting season again, getting closer. Each year I cannot believe it’s one year more with such destruction!
The right time, the right place for Angela Angelica for the lady who had seen her wandering and wandering lost, saw she had given birth, the pups nowhere. Teats over sized like golf balls, chronic mastitis, so she had taken her to the vet. She came out to the van and told us her story. Of course we would take her and at that, she cried.
She told us everyone had closed doors to taking her and they didn’t know what to do.
She has been treated with antibiotics and now the beginning of treatment to dry her milk. She cries, for which I feel she cries for her babies – where are they? Susannah didnt know. The problem of constant breeding yet again and lack of understanding and refusal to understand constant breeding causes mas abandonment.
So.. one more joins 112 carlota Galgos, once treated we will start her tests and then sterilise her. Angela looks for a home. Character wise she is sweet, but scared. as time passes we will have a better idea of her character.
Angela is only about one year old. We will do our best for you Angela Angelica.
If you can offer help for Angela, while she recovers and looks for a home, or would like information on her adoption, Paypal comdelrio@hotmail.com. Thankyou.
