“Save a Podenco in Gran Canaria” is an animal shelter run by volunteers. Since 2017, we have been dedicated to the rescue, protection, and raising awareness about Podencos. Because they are used for hunting, Podencos are excluded from current animal protection laws, which makes it very difficult to help them.

We rescue them, find them foster homes, and prepare them to be happy; to have a family that lasts them a lifetime.

We don’t receive any financial aid or grants, so it’s very important to receive support from kind people who want to collaborate with us.
