Huelva Podenco or PODENCO PATERNINO of Huelva Province in Andalucia. The ‘cradle’ of the Paternino is Huelva where it is used for hunting rabbit, hare and wild boar, mostly in a pack (rehala). Ginger, who has been at her foster home in 04539 Groitzsch (near Leipzig, Germany), is almost 2 years old, neutered, tested negative for Mediterranean diseases, and ready for her family 
Podenco Jorge, 5 years old. Jorge and his sister Marta were found as puppies and no one ever showed interest in adopting them. You have to check Jorge´s eyes! He is looking for a home. He is medium size, 20Kg. in Northern Portugal.

Dogs, who are sadly used for hunting, are not included in the animal welfare law because the hunting lobby has exerted strong political pressure to prevent them from having rights.
In this way, they remain completely unprotected so that hunters can continue to use them as mere tools in their hunting practices.Millions of species intended for hunting are raised annually in hunting farms so that hunters have enough prey to kill.
These hunting farms carry significant risks and negative consequences for animals and the natural environment.An argument in favor of hunting is that it helps control populations of wild boars and rabbits.Hunting does not help control animal populations; on the contrary, it is the hunting industry itself that produces artificial overpopulations causing imbalance in wild populations.
Of more than 2000 investigated and detained for animal abuse between 2021 and 2023, none went to prison. This is what the parties in Congress allow.
This has to end! Hunting dogs must be protected by animal welfare law.
