Eleven years of loyalty… and now all Princesa wants is a warm bed and someone to love her.

This is Princesa, an 11-year-old Podenca who is searching for a loving retirement home. She is currently in the Valencia region of Spain.
At a time in her life when she deserved extra love and care, Princesa was signed over to Friends of Aprop after developing a health condition that is easily managed. Sadly, because she was no longer considered “useful,” her owner chose not to stand by her through her golden years, leaving the shelter to give her the care she deserves.

Princesa needs daily medication to control a build-up of mucus in her nose and throat, which can make her cough and become uncomfortable. With her medication, she is happy, comfortable and able to enjoy life. As an APROP foster dog, all of her veterinary care and medication will be covered by the rescue.

Could you offer Princesa what every older dog deserves, a warm, comfortable bed, gentle daily walks, love, kindness and the security of a family to call her own? She has given the best years of her life. Now she deserves to spend her retirement years knowing she is loved and cherished.
