Centro de Protección Animal Tierra Blanca on Tenerife has 260 rescued podencos all desperately needing forever homes. With Winter coming these Kennels would provide shelter for so many of them. The cost for the metal about 130.00 Euros, labour voluntary, good idea and indestructable.
If you can help towards providing more of these kennels 260 podencos – that’s not counting all the other dogs! – please paypal to this address.
And if you can offer a forever home to a podenco, even better. The dogs are microchipped and vaccinated, no adoption fee – all they ask is the cost of the flight out of Tenerife.

I need a paypal address to donate because it can cost more to transfer than the donation it is important to get a pp ad here its a must they are desperate for addoptions aswell is there any rescue in spain who could probably help out this rescue and take some of their pods for homing maybe all readers could donate towards the transportation costs over to spain to a rescue and I know that the rescues in spain are over run but this rescye could really do with some help all these rescues doing all what they can to help these poor souls on little donations they are double unsung heros they really are but its not words these people want its actions and I cant help with adoption at the moment so I feel as useless as they come knowing the dio situation for them all try beryl if you can to persuade them to get a pp account set up I can then donate hang on I just had a thought when I go into town I will go to the kiosk inside one of our shopping centres it sends money abroad for you to a bank account I will ask how much to send if reasonable I will do that way will get back on this one wont be in town until Friday though

Ailsa Mcgibney is the English-speaking volunteer helping the rescue. The person in charge is a Vet. I have asked her to persuade them to set up a paypal a/c because it costs to do a bank transfer. She is going to speak to the vet. If you can see fb pages, you’ll find them there too.
We are currently asking the Cabildo for Paypal , as Government Kennels so the red tape has to be gone through , if in Spain like myself you can transfer free of charge , I will keep updated for you all , Thankyou so so much for this post .I am not the Kennels but a Volunteer.
260 dogs! This is really heartbreaking, not only for the dogs but for the people who are running the rescue and the volunteers. How are they getting on with securing forever homes for the dogs? I feel so sad about this. Like Jenny I would happily donate to this but it would be great if I could donate via Paypal. I’m not on facebook either but can view public facebook sites. Are there any profiles for the dogs or anything like that? Although I can imagine the impossibility of setting up anything like this with 260 dogs. Thank goodness for the good people who volunteer at the shelter.
If you are able to view facebook pages, then look at my Podenco Post facebook pages – don’t know why I have 2!, I only opened one! – and you will be able to see all the lovely podencos needing forever homes – I just don’t get chance to share them all.

managed to get to kiosk today the minimum to transfer is 300 I would have to win the lotto befor I can put this amount through so they said I can go to another place to fill in my details the persons details I am going to donate to and they have to go to a kiosk called the western union to collect the money it seems a lot of messing to me I would prefer pp ad to put money through its much easier if any one interested in doing the way described above an example of a charge 4 90 for a 20 donation
