I’d like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all your marvellous people who have donated to save podencos from Hellin and Valencia perrera. Anke and Dominique do amazing work and I’m now happy to show you all the podencos you have helped them save and place in a residencia. The appeal now is for donations to pay the kennel fees until, most importantly, these beauties can be adopted. Here is a list of the dogs, who have now all been named. Athos, a young big male, who probably was tied up a long time, he has almost no hair around his neck. He is very sweet, a modest male.

Barnie, very young medium-big female, seems a balanced dog, a bit timid/cautious.

Joya, a beautiful wire haired medium-big female, also young. sweet, but aren’t they all?

Tu-sha, female maneto, young, timid but lovely, when settled she is free and openminded

Brownie, male maneto, it seems he acts more confident than he really feels (male ego?)

Gualda (called Aly by the Spanish), very sweet, timid, wire haired medium sized female. she is adorable they say. (I was invited to name her – it means ‘golden‘)

Paddy (called Edy by the Spanish) beautiful black and white young male, medium sized, cautious, curious, a lovely young male who wants to have fun too.

Chispo, a young medium-small sized male, slightly wire haired. he will be in residence starting this week, he has come from Hellin perrera where he was for a very long time. A Valencia donater helped him to get started..he is a frightened little man, but also very sweet and we has confidence in his future..picture is from the perrera, he is not yet in residence, will go this week.

Rubius, wire haired young male from perrera in Hellin, arrived in the residence last week.

then there are the two from the picture where they were in the cage: they are in a foster home, who needs financial support to be able to do it. She needs 30 euro per month for both, for food and (vet) care. and of course, adoption is the ultimate destination..

We really need adoptions for them all! Which means we will then be able to save others in the future….

The residence is nearly full, we have a lot of other dogs there too, who are also waiting for adoption.
