Two more yound podencos on death row in Valencia. I simply fail – after 6 years – to understand the Spanish mindset of disposing of digs to a killing station if you don’t want them. These two are young….heartbreaking. I’d adopt them all, but I can’t afford it…oh to win the lottery!
This big guy (brown) is a male, very good and kind. He is about 3 years old and larger in size. He is so depressed he barely gets up, looks at you, just makes a ball on the floor, very sorry because it seems like he knows that it is difficult to get out. PLEASE HELP.
The white hound, Ibizan hound is beautiful. Very tall and beautiful. She holds her tail between her legs, but still smells your approaching hand. She is a young lady, like most hounds, we believe that she is less than one and a half (roughly) year. Beautiful, much more than it appears in photos.
Contact for fostering or adopting in Spain adoptadelaperrera@gmail.com
For pension or adopting through an association outside of Spain bracobuddha@hotmail.com
For people outside of Spain, it is possible to pay the release fee for the dog and the costs of them going into kennels.
It is important that overseas adoptions be made through an association. The Spanish volunteers are allowed to find fosters or pensions/kennels only in Spain, and do not dare to have adopters from overseas dealing with them directly
There are various other ways one can help these dogs. You could sponsor a dog as above – pay the release fee and kennel fees (sometimes as little as 2 or 3 euros/day). Either pay it all yourself, or split the costs with a friend. The dogs can then stay in the kennels until they are adopted through an association.
If you are interested in sponsoring one of the dogs, contact the email address above, Anke speaks English.

It would be awesome if some could be transfered to the US. I’ve always found Ibizan Hounds so gorgeous and interesting. I would rather adopt and save a life verses buying one.
Hi GRIN has brought over 12 Podencos/Ibizans this year alone. If someone is interested in adopting podencos email me as I am the adoption coordinator and I work with an association in Valencia for many years. telma@galgorescue.org
