Good news, Zorro found his way back home. Thank you all for asking for his safe return. Next time, he’ll go with a different person to his foster home.

Brilliant news Beryl. Am delighted to hear it. One clever dog knew who was good to him and didn’t want to leave.

another happy ending great
so glad to hear that!
Thank you so much, Beryl, and thanks to all of you who’ve taken an interest. They were very nice people who really meant well and were devastated at their mistake, so let’s not blame anyone, but only be thankful that I found him unharmed (though heading in quite the wrong direction and out to the open sierra, so it’s lucky I arrived in time.) When i eventually found him, he was in an olive grove, the last one before wild land, and he came racing through the trees like a joyous ballet dancer, his little white stockings flashing out as he danced with joy. It was the prettiest sight imaginable. We hugged and hugged, then he leaped into my arms and GLUED himself there for hours – even when I was running a bath much later! He is the dearest little chap. As I’m so ill, he can’t stay with me much longer, but obviously he’s jolly well going to stay as long as he can!
On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, another abandoned Podenco was in the alley and I fed her. She’s older and not healthy and I didn’t dare invite her to stay, as then I’d have to find her a home, but it was sad – she did so want to stay. I haven’t seen her since, so I hope she’s found a good place to hang out.
