Poor dogs. They try their best for their masters – and mistresses – and are rewarded by being dumped – anywhere – busy roads, down wells, on the campo with broken legs, in the killing stations. Killing stations – barking dogs, stressed dogs, some of the worst perreras don’t believe in feeding dogs to be killed, water is green – I’ve the reports and photos on my weblogs. This poor rough haired Podenca Andaluz has been named Tamy. She is in the Badajoz killing station, due to be killed on 23rd February. She is depressed, she does not move or eat. She is desperately sad and it is heartbreaking to see her. And she is pregnant.

A couple of years ago, through communication between International associations and myself, we rescued a similar podenca, Estrella, (not pregnant but with ehrlichia), now happily rehomed in France and living a marvellous life!

Let’s see if we can do the same for this poor little podenca. She didn’t ask to be pregnant and dumped to die in a bleak cell.

NB My heading might seem a poor choice, but I write my headings in the hope that my post will show up high in a Search engine and maybe just reach out to someone who doesn’t know what happens to Spain’s dogs.
