  • Dogs in, Dogs out – busy time at Association 112carlotagalgos

Ana sofa 250 5 2012It’s a busy time at the moment at 112carlotagalgos in Malaga. Two of their rescued and rehabilitated galgos Bruno and Halo have now headed off to Belgium and forever homes, Polyana and Gandalf are settling into their new homes in the UK, and podenca Angela Angelica heads off to the USA tomorrow (28th May) and her forever family. But 3-legged beauty Ana is still waiting – surely there is a place in someone’s heart for this stunning podenca.

  • Saved from the streets of Seville – Podenca Andaluz needs help

Macu podenca May 1 250 2012This lovely young Podenca Andaluz, less than a year old, was rescued from the streets of Seville by Macu, with a rope around her neck, and a scalibor collar on, which she had obviously had to wear since a small puppy because it was infected with bugs etc. Naturally she is very fearful of humans, and is in a kennels, where the staff sadly don’t have time to rehabilitate her.

She currently has a liver problem from her condition and therefore needs a special diet, plus needing vaccinations etc.

Macu is desperate to find a foster home for her and also desperately needs funds to pay for the kennels, food, medication, preparing her EU vaccination. macu19782010@hotmail.com Paypal donations to macu19782010@hotmail.com

  • Seville – accommodation needed long term, forever home for Podenco Ibicenco puppy

POKI-1 190I write you on behalf of my good friend Nati, because I’m trying to help Poki. Thank you very much!!!

“Poki is so small! Just 2 months, he is a Ibizan Hound and will be a big boy as an adult. I have him on a residence (kennels) because I have no foster for him. Please can anyone help with foster or adoption or sponsorship!!! He has already been quite hungry and cold and deserves a home now. He has been very lucky to be rescued, where he could get sick, he was sad and hungry… is now a residence (kennels), but it’s no place for a puppy”. Please can someone take him out of the kennels and prepare him for a forever home. He’s just a baby. I can provide all the information for the vet and his residence.

  • Dumped on a Spanish street, podenco puppy now winning prizes

Jazzy pup 1 250 Bev 4 3012This gorgeous little podenco puppy was thrown from a car onto the street. Luckily uninjured, she was rescued and is now in the safe hands of Bev Farmer, who is earning a well-deserved reputation for training podencos to prepare them for finding forever homes. Here’s the story of Jazzy so far.

‘Another post on Facebook, another Podenco dumped, this time thrown out of a car without any consideration what would happen to this puppy. At 7am Michelle heard a car racing off and a dog screaming. Her first thought was that a dog had been seriously hurt. She rushed out of her house to see a puppy on the street shaking in fear and covered in oil. Her front claws were ripped, a classic sign of having been dragged along by a car.

  • Seville podenca – appeal for help with vet fees

Macu podenca 1 250 4 2012This is another plea for help from Macu in Seville, who rescues podencos from a gypsy settlement – Chaplin, Tecla, and several others featured on Podenco Post.

‘Please, I need your help. I rescued this dog from Seville´s gigpsy settlement. I had to do it because she was in the street but a man said that it was his but didn´t give her any care. I´ve rescued her today but my residence is closed the whole week and I work the whole day. Because of this I´ve found a boy who works taking care of dogs in his house and takes them to the vet and everything. He has taken the dog to the vet and you can read the analiysis below.
