I received this appeal for help recently from a lady in southern Spain, who is quite ill and in poor living conditions. She rescued this stunning Podenco Ibicenco, she’s name him Zorro.
She says ‘I have “tamed” a young podenco who was abandoned on this campsite. He was here when I arrived at the end of August and I had no intention of catching him, as I had nowhere to live. The campsite people were chasing him all the time and were going to take him to the perrera. He was thin, frightened and young; I thought I’d be able to find him a home. I didn’t realise he’d get so attached to me or that it would be so difficult to find him a home.
She in now rented accommodation for a couple of months but it is desperate he goes to a foster/adopting home as soon as possible.

Happy update on Zorro, sounds a wonderful hound.
‘ He’s such an adorable chap now, so kind and obliging – he’ll learn anything if one explains properly. He’s starting to feel safe and happy. He’s only just starting to even touch other people with his nose and today he let someone stroke his paw. He’s a sweetheart as well as beautiful. I wish someone could come here and get to know him.’
