Jackie Dias lives in Portugal and has a couple of friends who run a small shelter in the north around 30 mins drive from Porto. Many of their dogs are Portuguese Podengos which are now on their way to being fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped when the adoption process takes place.
Information for adoptees outside of Portugal on how the best way they can ship a dog to a foreign country can be given.

This one is TUCHA – Female Podenga sweet and always looking for cuddles.
TUCHA – Recently rescued from an illegal breeder where she was kept in confinement without much opportunity to move around. She is looking for a new home.
Tucha will soon be spayed and is completing her vaccination and passport program.
She will eventually be microchipped and get her EU Pet passport too.
MARY – (pic above)Female Podenga VERY sweet, playful and small in size
Handed in by someone who found her and kept her for a short period but could not keep her. Her friendliness is unquestionable and she is looking for a loving home.
Mary is spayed and is completing her vaccination program.
LILLY –(pic above) Female PODENGA, small in size, sweet, spayed and completing her vaccination program.
Lilly was found by the side of the road by a passerby. She was very hungry and frightened but soon reacted calmly to her rescuer. She is looking for a new home.
She will eventually be microchipped and get her EU Pet passport too.
GINGER –(pic above) Female Podenga sweet and always after cuddles. Rescued from some hunters after she was abandoned in a lonely spot. She was very hungry and fortunately seen by a passerby who rescued her but could not keep her and now she is looking for a new home.
Ginger is spayed and is completing her vaccination program.
She will eventually be microchipped and get her EU Pet passport too.
PLEASE – GIVE THE PORTUGUESE PODENGOS A CHANCE FOR A FOREVER LIFE.
