Do you remember Frank, the injured podenco rescued in December? I’m sure regular readers certainly will!! Here’s an update on him from Bev Farmer which you will be pleased to read. Thank you again to everyone who donated to help him.
Good news for Dori. He had been found with a fracture to the front leg and needed treatment. By the time he arrived it was too late to operate Dori was limping especially after running around full blast but after a month on medication this has improved significantly. X-rays revealed the fracture had healed almost straight and in time it is hoped it will settle. The specialist advised not to do surgery on the leg for it could make the condition worse.
He tested positive for Ehrlichia and has a months treatment for it so another blood test to check the levels. Dori is a great natured happy Podenco and the good news for him he is adopted and will be traveling to his new home in the UK next week. His new family are fully on board with his condition and are aware that he may need ongoing help …. a podenco found abandoned in a small spanish pueblo who had to travel 700 kms across Spain to be with us soon to be on his final journey to his forever sofa
