Here he is, safe at last. Frank.Hoggity Doggity….now with Bev and renamed Dori. He is going to be taken to see a traumatologist about his leg, just hope it’s not too late after all the previous messing about he was subjected to.

Good news for Dori and wonderful that Bev could take him. Shame that it took so long for him to get there though. Hope that he makes a full recovery with his leg.

Well it’s good news for Dori, not good news for Bev who will have to now foot the bill, especially seeing as he had a place at another rescue. Money doesn’t grow on trees does it and some of these rescues are under enormous cost pressure. I read on Pepis that there is a rescue in Spain closing with 60 dogs all up for rehoming, at risk of being put to sleep. The person who owns the rescue is unable to carry on, desperately sad for those dogs. I will donate to Bev this week for Dori.

what a sad state of affairs what rescue is it Kathryn I will have a look I put a small donation through to bev and my friend and hers put 65 through between them and I knew Kathryn was going to put 50 through bless you
Kathryn
Jen, I read it on Pepis facebook page. I’m not on facebook but can look at the public sites. It’s called Animal Aid Foundation in Spain, 60 dogs at risk of being put to sleep. There are all sorts of dogs, mixed breed, podencos – just really, really sad. The only thing that could help I guess is people adopting or other rescues taking the dogs.
Update on Dori after the vet visit. Bev reports ‘Dori…. at the moment the leg has set reasonably straight not perfect and of course a lump of bone around the fracture. He is limping on it at times my vets would prefer to see if with medication and time this will resolve itsself it wont matter if we operated now or later.
They dont want to do it if possible much more complicated to reset
Hes a lovely dog’.
