Many spanish people adopt galgos and podencos and Mo Swatek of Pro-Galgo International writes about them.
‘We are over 1,200 Spanish galgo and podenco adoptants, publishing pix of our adopted dogs, asking questions and helping with behaviour problems etc.
I really think people should know that in Spain are thousands of galgo and podenco adoptants, animal loving people who care for them. And now over 20 galgo and podenco rescue groups all over Spain.
Near Barcelona Spanish adoptants of different rescue groups meet on a weekly basis to let their galgos run in a specially built dog garden (pipican), paid for by the City Council. These pipicans you can find now in many cities all over Spain.
