This is Maisy, a small podenca of 5 months. She was looking for food in a landfill. Some people saw it and could not look at other side, collected it. They have asked us for help and now is with them in reception. It is active, affectionate and playful. It coexists with another dog without problems. Lucía Lucía was pregnant in the street, so we decided to gather her to sterilize her before she brought more puppies which we don’t know how would have ended. Now she’s recovering in a foster home. She’s shy with people, but she’s getting more confident little by little. With other dogs, she’s fine, very playful, and she follows her foster brothers wherever they go.

Yoko-Bonsai: She was gathered disoriented crossing the main road of a village, she looks more like she’s got lost, but she had no chip, and probably she was from a hunter, so she was lucky to escape. We took her to the vet and we were really surprised, because we thought she was really young, and the vet told us that his teeth are already nearly done, so that she is around 6 or 7 months, and that she won’t grow more than 2cm more…and she’s only 7 kilo now! She’s so small and she’s beautiful and a loving pup. We had provisionally called her Bonsai, because of her surprising small size, but she’s going to be fostered with Lennon, so we are thinking of calling her Yoko.

Lucky and Linda: Their owner died and they have remained in the area and they go in and out from the property. We are feeding them, but we don’t know how long they will be allowed to stay around, because we don’t know what will happen with the property.

Linda is shy, as many podencos, but we are able to touch her and as many podencos we are sure that once she gets confident with her adoptant, she will be a magnificent companion. She only needs someone patient, who respects and understands her.
Lucky is a galgo mix and he has an old injury in his back with causes him incontinence, so we try to clean him regularly. We are aware that’s very difficult to find a home for him with such a problem, but I think we should try at least.’ (No pix)
