Urgent – 3 pod pups need foster homes and podenca Blanca needs a very special forever home

Urgent appeal from Rosemary, who lives in Valencia region and rescued Podenca Ana a couple of years ago.

‘I rescued a beautiful white Podenco and have named her Blanca. I had been feeding her for a long time, then she got sick and I managed to catch her. She was very sick, she had very bad anemia, the vet originally said she was 3-4 years old, so I went of and found her a fantastic home to go to and the lady waited and waited for her to get better.

Last week the head vet told me that although Blanca was much better she could never be vaccinated as her immune system is just not working well and that she thinks she is nearer nine years old. Blanca also needs to be on steroids now for the rest of her life.

This meant her home fell through and now I am looking to find somewhere for her to spend the rest of her days. I cannot begin to describe how loving this girl is and how easy she is to look after.

I have another problem as well. 3 podenco pups about 10-12 weeks old have been found and I am desperate to find foster care for them, 2 of them you cannot touch, they are all girls. They are all living like a little pack, they need to be separated but there is nowhere for them to go.’
