SARA Protectora Podencos to UK in July – needing forever homes

SARA Protectora Lanzarote have 3 dogs going back to the UK in mid-July, who are searching for their forever homes. Here they are:

Jorge

Age: 5
Type: Cross Podenco
Sex: Neutered male
Colour: Brown/white

Jorge has been in SARA for too long and needs a forever home. We sought him out recently because his name kept on appearing on the Sara lists and it seemed that our paths ought to cross.

What a great chap he is, a nice large brown and white dog with folded ears. A fabulous temperament, good to walk on his lead, loves fuss and attention and we think that he will make someone a great companion and faithful friend. The bit of him that isn’t Podenco blends beautifully into the Poddy personality to create a really nice type of dog with good looks personality and relatively easy nature.

Cache Podenco (Renamed Dobby)

Age: 2 1/2
Type:Podenco
Sex:Neutered male
Colour: Brown/white

‘Dobby’ is the last one of the litter of pups which were admitted when very young. We have re-homed two of the litter and they have made superb, much loved pets.

Dobby was initially overlooked by us because he was separated from his siblings. Once we realised that there was still a member of the litter remaining we sought him out and what a wonderful dog we discovered. A really affable chap with fabulous large ears, really stunning to look at with a ‘goofy’ nature just like his brothers. Furthermore if he follows his brothers in other ways he won’t be a jumper or an escape artist! A wonderful boy, waiting for a home.

Lelo

Age: 18months approx
Sex: neutered Male
Colour : Brown

Lelo is a nice chap, We chose him specifically for a young man who came up to see us from S Wales who gave us as very specific remit which we fulfilled size, colour temperament , age etc. The gentleman’s circumstances have since changed and he is currently unable to offer a home for this stunning dog, although he was generous enough to give a donation to our project. Not too large a dog and very easy to handle, I took him out for a trial walk and was immediately taken by his great attitude to life and of course his fabulous looks, the nearest I could find in the shelter to a Pharaoh hound although that matters not a jot!

The important thing is that he’s a nice guy and in need of a forever home
