Sometimes it doesn’t take much time to realize that a dog has a very special companion. Ginger has only been at her foster home since yesterday, October 17th, and is already showing what a wonderful dog she is.
In her new environment, Ginger is curious. She explores the apartment, looks at everything very carefully, and wants to know what’s going on around her. She doesn’t always seek out contact with her humans. When someone approaches her, she clearly enjoys the attention and likes to be petted. She doesn’t need a big show, but rather can arrive at her own pace and discover how beautiful life can be in a loving home.

So far, Ginger has been pleasant in the house (she doesn’t bark and settles down with support). She especially enjoys looking out the window and observing what’s going on outside. You could almost think she doesn’t want to miss anything!
Outside, Ginger is already making a very good impression. She walks very nicely on a leash, but remains attentive and interested in her surroundings. There’s still so much to discover! Her curiosity is a beautiful foundation for exploring the world with her and growing into a well-adjusted team step by step.
So far, she has gotten along wonderfully with the two female dogs at her foster home. It’s especially nice to see how finely she responds to her female companions. When they show her boundaries, she calmly steps back and respects their signals. This makes it hope that she can continue to be a good companion in her life with other dogs.
Even stairs are no longer a big issue for Ginger, as long as they are enclosed. Open stairs are still not her thing – in such situations, she can tolerate them. She also mastered the first night quite well: she slept alone in her box and gave her humans a peaceful night.
Of course, Ginger is just at the very beginning of her new chapter in life. We want to give her the time she needs to continue growing and get to know her character even better. What she is already showing us now is very pleasing: a curious, attentive dog who is looking for contact with people, calmly showing herself in the house, and communicating pleasantly with her fellow creatures.
For Ginger, we wish for people who are eager to accompany her on her further journey. People who encourage her curiosity, provide her with security, and together with her, discover all the small and big adventures of everyday life. She should be allowed to arrive at her own pace and experience that she can rely on people.
Ginger has already taken the first step. Now all that’s left is the most important one: her own home, where she can finally arrive.
