Podenco Friends – taking on the Dog Walk Challenge

Podencos are capable of more than many imagine.! Last month Esca and I took part in the Dog Walk Challenge, organised by Nancy Wigglesworth. The challenge combines kilometres walked, metres climbed, tasks, tricks and group activities. It is all about confidence, connection and simply enjoying time together. We work in teams and your team members can be from any part of the world .. -
Learning a new system
Apologies for the lack of colourful pix on Podenco Post but we have had to change to a new system and I am still getting the hang of using it.

New home for Podenco Post
WE have had to move the Podenco Post website to a new internet home, so that’s why we have been offline the past few days.
The site is still very much a work in progress, but we are slowly putting the pieces back together and normal service will be resumed soon.

Telde, Gran Canaria – hunters protest
In Telde, Gran Canaria, where they hunt with podencos.
300 hunters claim in Telde to recover the lost days. They gathered middle of August in Telde to show their displeasure over the restrictions imposed during episodes of high temperatures, which they say have caused them to miss several days of hunting in Gran Canaria.
(Pity the restrictions weren’t permanent!)
