  • From Barcelona streets to Djimba and safety in France

    Cleao 2 djimba 250 4 2012This little lady is Cleo, just like my tiny Podenca Andaluz Bebe and, like Bebe, Cleo’s history is a sad one – luckily she is now in the caring hands of Betty at Djimba.

    ‘Cleo is a very small podenco that was found in December 2012 on the streets near Barcelona, her left fore leg was badly broken. She was taken to a vet and operated on, 4 metal plates were put in her leg. She stayed at the vet in a bench for 2 months and then should have gone to a shelter. However, due to her leg and the fact that she was very scared of people, she went to a foster home in Barcelona.

  • Seville – accommodation needed long term, forever home for Podenco Ibicenco puppy

    POKI-1 190I write you on behalf of my good friend Nati, because I’m trying to help Poki. Thank you very much!!!

    “Poki is so small! Just 2 months, he is a Ibizan Hound and will be a big boy as an adult. I have him on a residence (kennels) because I have no foster for him. Please can anyone help with foster or adoption or sponsorship!!! He has already been quite hungry and cold and deserves a home now. He has been very lucky to be rescued, where he could get sick, he was sad and hungry… is now a residence (kennels), but it’s no place for a puppy”. Please can someone take him out of the kennels and prepare him for a forever home. He’s just a baby. I can provide all the information for the vet and his residence.

  • Chellas, nr Valencia – abandoned Podenca Ibicenco needs a home forever

    Chellas podenca 250 1This beautiful Podenca Ibicenco turned up on the doorstep of Jane. She has taken the podenca in but unfortunately cannot keep her. Here’s the info on this beautiful bitch. She is approximately 12 – 18 months old, not spayed; located in a village called Chella which is about an hour south of Valencia, at my home.   • Starved podenco Abel – needs help and a home

    Abel head 2504 2012Abel is young male Podenco about 10 months old, you can see he has not had the best start in life. He is very underweight, weak and will need some time for him to build up his strength. He is negative for Leishmania, filaria and elerichia and we hope he doesn’t have any long term health problems because of his neglect.

  • Ibizan Hound Rescue – podenca Lily waits forever

Lily, 18 months old, had very little contact with people, very unsure of what to do with humans, she needs time and patience in her new home.
