Remember Ana, rescued in Ana, Spain, in November 2012. Here’s a wonderful video showing that a tripo does not need to be handicapped by a leg missing!
Amazing Ana. http://youtu.be/WU_LK9VrHbs Enjoy a tripod tearing around on the sands of the beach… Amazing Ana!
Some time back Ana came to us from Valencia, another down and out podenca tossed out, no longer needed. No long er required and so, left to her devices she roamed the lands. She fed herself and did the best she could. At some point either before tossed out, or after, she succumbed to a terrible break in a hind leg, an infected bone which reinfected, and reinfected.
The day Rosemary saw Ana, it was the day her future was safe. Rosemary took months of patience to lay food down and coax her to come for it. With no asoc. to take her on, Rosemary contacted us via Galgo news and the arrangements were made, should she be caught we would go and get her. Sometime before her rescue Rosemary managed to rescue her pups. All sent into foster care. Ana came to 112 carlota galgos and after recouperation of a much needy leg amputation, she joined Sandra and family in foster care. Here she has developed and become playful and loving. see the photo of her abandoned and here the video of her with Chika.. playing in the sand at the beach!
Ana is reserved for an adoption in the UK and her mama Jen and family are truly excited. Ana is an amazing girl and so intuative. Something I think sandra would agree with me on. The concerns which follow now, are not for Ana. It’s for her young.
112 carlota galgos is an association for the “protection del galgo Español” and the “Podenco” – myself like many cannot find homes for x breeds. x galgos x podencos.. they just are the last on the list. Sometimes I wonder why? They chose the best of 2 breeds and became one!
I cannot close my eyes to Chloe, Rosemary needs our help as she has so helped these dogs. Chloe is Ana’s baby, she was rescued and is now approx 8 months old. Spayed, vaccinated and tests being completed.
Chloe went into foster care, but was handed back due to “Anxiety seperation disorder” and she needs a knowledgable home who understands her. it’s not her fault, it never is, yet they pay the price and wait. In the meantime waiting, waiting for that special person to love them, show them just how it is, and how life is going to be.
She may well be a x podenca, but thanks to Ana she will have her traits and in the right hands, Chloe would flourish. At present Chloe is in kennels, where she cries and struggles. So…can anyone help Chloe find someone just for her. As we prepare to say farewell to her Amazing mama Ana, in her honour it would be wonderful to know her daughter made it as well.
In galgo affection. Contact Charl 112carlotagalgos
