Chiclana, Cadiz – little wounded podenca Camila needs help

Podenca with leg wound 400 7 2016On the many journeys I have made into Spain on rescues, to bring galgos and podencos back to France for foster and homing, there have been several tripod podencos. These poor hounds often get onto land where illegal metal snares have been set. This is an example of what can happen, although it’s know know how this poor podenco ended up in such a state. But rest assured, she has been rescued and is in the vet clinic. Here’s the story.

‘She’s already rescued and has been named Camila after Santa Camila, the day of rescue and hopefully Santa Camila will protect her. She has been operated on and is recovering well with a good prognosis. She will stay for a few days in the veterinary clinic of Chiclana Avila Forner, Cadiz.

There seem to be more terrible stories right now rather than less. We can’t do enough for all these poir pods and galgos 🙁 It’s like Medusa.
