Podenco Friends Road Show UK …. it all started with a message from Sonja Mills & Heather Bennett what do think about attending some shows this year ? We really didn’t know where to start had no funds but we pulled it off.

This has been a brilliant initiative and every show attended we have had a stand we have always being well received, most importantly raised awareness for the Podencos here in Spain. This was the brain child of Sonja & Heather supported by their husbands Dave Mills & Dave Bennett and they have worked incredibly hard giving up so much of their time and weekends. The team grew, Laura Cording, Stuart Harris and Cathy Klar came on board along with other family members and we couldn´t have done it without you.

There are so many people to thank for their support, donators of gifts and items for the stand, thank you to those who came to visit us. Great friendships made along the way all with a passion for the Podencos and I am sure this is one of the reasons its been so successful.

In addition Sonja created a network of home-checkers in the UK specifically for those who wanted to adopt a podenco she also established a number of foster homes. Because of this we have been able to assist three other podenco rescues who have needed emergency foster homes this year.

Our super stars the Podencos they were always a huge hit at the show, behaved impeccably such fantastic ambassadors for the breed.

I am so proud of what the team have accomplished this year from nothing they created something very special. We are already planning for 2016 taking was was successful this year and building on it.

Your did amazing, guys, be proud of your achievements, love you all for everything you have done in the name of Podenco Friends the best friends ever.
