GUAPO NEEDS YOUR HELP Guapo was rescued from one of the “killing stations” on Lanzarote. He has been in SARA shelter since 23/3/2010, just over 5 years!!! He was only a very young dog when he was rescued, he is thought to be about 5 1/2 !! He is active and bouncy and loves other dogs. Hes a big lad too around 60 cm at the shoulders. An active chap like Guapo needs to be with a family, can anyone supply him with the love and kindness he so desparately needs? As with all the SARA dogs Guapo is neutered, microchipped and fully inoculated!

Elefante has been in SARA shelter on Lanzarote since 21/2/2011 he is thought to be 5 1/2 years old. He was rescued from the dog pound in Arrecife the island capital. He had been badly attacked by other dogs and he was full of awful bites. He still has a nasty scar on his head and this somehow adds to his charm! He is a really loving chap with a fantastic nature dispite his truly awful experiences. I must make sure that this lovely chap gets a chance so please contact me if you can provide him a forever home. He is neutered, inoculated and of course microchipped.
CAN ANYONE HELP BRAILLE?
Braille has been in SARA shelter on Lanzarote since he was a puppy. A litter of puppies were found in Arrecife , the capital of Lanzarote. He has been incarcerated there since 29th November 2008!!! Yes thats right nearly 7 years!!! He badly needs a home as clearly there are none available on the island.He is very submissive and quite timid. Initially you have to be firm but kind with him but then he gradually relaxes and is very affectionate and sweet. He wants to be with people all the time and he does his best to please you. I asked SARA for their thoughts on him and I was told “ He isn’t very hunter and is very friendly with everyone”. Which is a good endorsement believe me! If anyone can find a room in their home for this chap , please, please contact me. He is neutered, microchipped and fully inoculated and can be in the UK very quickly
LOVELY LLANO NEEDS SOME HELP
Llano has been through a tough time,bless him . He was found abandoned and badly injured on 17th August 2011. He was taken to SARA shelter on Lanzarote who mended his injuries and gave him food and safety . But he badly needs a home as he has been in SARA for nearly 4 years, which is far too long. He is a delight! Very happy and cheerful, bombing around wagging his tail faster than a metronome set on double time! He gets on very well with other dogs , he is a medium sized fella and with his knarled ears I think he looks really cute. He is sat in this cell like kennel which he shares with 3 others waiting for his forever home. He is fed and safe but the stress that the dogs are under cannot be described! Help him someone please! He is neutered, microchipped and fully inoculated .
TIN TIN LOOKING FOR A FOREVER HOME
Tin tin has been in SARA Shelter on Lanzarote since15-5-2012. He was rescued from a warehouse where he had been abandoned,he was not far from being starved to death. Back in SARA he has developed into a handsome male of the species of medium size! He is thought to be nearly 6 years old. Quite a reserved chap at first but he soon gains in confidence. Although he doesnt like other male dogs he gets along fine with females so if you can offer Tin Tin a forever home please bear this in mind. Neutered, microchipped and fully inoculated he is waiting, lets hope that it isnt too much longer bless him.
FRONTLINE TICKS EVERY BOX FOR AN ACTIVE FAMILY
Frontline has been in SARA shelter since 19/3/2013. He was found tied to the gate of the shelter just outside Tahiche in Lanzarote one morning. He was covered in ticks which probably gives a clue to his unusual name. He is thought to be about 3 3/4 years old. He is a lovely friendly chap and is very loving and sweet. He simply adores playing with other dogs and humans too. He is very energetic which makes his life in SARA very hard indeed. He needs a forever home with someone who is equally energetic and loves walking, jogging, cycling. Whatever form of exercise floats your boat will suit Frontline down to the ground for he too is no couch potato. As with all SARA dogs, he is neutered, inoculated and microchipped .
VIDA WANTS TO ADOPT SOMEONE SO BADLY
Vida has been in SARA shelter on Lanzarote since 6/8/2012 . She was handed in as a very young dog after she had been picked up wandering though the streets of Puerto Del Carmen late at night. She is a beautifully behaved Podenco of medium size, a very happy dog and very pretty too. She is used by the shelter to take to fundraising and awareness events on the island It is a mystery how she hasnt been adopted yet, so if you can find a place in your home for this lovely girl please get in touch with me.
DOBBIE NEEDS A MAGICAL CHANGE OF FORTUNE
Dobbie has been working her magic on the helpers of SARA shelter on Lanzarote since she was rescued from a pound as a puppy on 24/6/2012. I thought that she was called “Debbie” and when corrected by Sergio the kennel hand I pointed out that Dobbie was a male house elf . But Dobbie it remains! She is a beautiful, active,sociable dog who is used to represent SARA at charity functions . Why she hasnt found her forever home I honestly cannot imagine as she is truly gorgeous. She is available in the UK in a few weeks time and with all SARA dogs she is neutered, microchipped and fully inoculated. If you can find a place in your home for this lovely girl please contact me.
SANTO WANTS A HOME
Santo is a medium sized boy who was handed in to SARA shelter on Lanzarote by his owner who said that he was useless as a hunter and he was going to shoot him! He has been in SARA since November 2012 and he is thought to be around 3 1/2 years old. He is very playful with humans but doesnt get along too well with other dogs ,so he needs to be in a one dog family really. But he is a lovely boy and he needs a home. Please help! Like all SARA dogs he is neutered, inoculated and microchipped and can be in the UK in a matter of weeks.
TIMON NEEDS A HOME NOW
This is a picture of one of the nicest Podencos I have met. He was handed in to SARA shelter on 25/10/2012 by a tourist who rescued him from a shed where he had been left without food and water.He is thought to be about 4. He was in a terrible state. SARA have worked their magic in terms of his health but he hasnt settled there. It is a safe but stressful environment for the dogs and some take the incarceration better than others. Timon needs to be in a home as quickly as possible. Like all SARA dogs he is neutered, inoculated and microchipped and he can be safe and happy in a new home in the UK in a few weeks
