I have been reading about the rescue of blind dogs via a wonderful charity in the UK, Blind Dog Rescue. Blind dogs can live a fulfilling life because their other senses are so well developed ie smell and hearing. They help dogs all over Europe. There is an elderly chow chow featured on there, blind and has been left in a shelter in Spain. Now this breed of dog is rare and expensive so clearly someone has had him until he has got old and blind and then dumped him. Some people are just rotten. Anyway if anyone gets chance to look at this rescue on the internet, they are doing great things for blind dogs.
