Positive Dog Training

Interesting article on dog training.

I recently watched a programme on UK TV called ‘The Dog Rescuers’. One of the people featured was a young woman who had an 8-month old Japanese Akita. It was totally out of control, even to weeing on her! A professional dog trainer was brought in to spend a session with her, showing her how to start obedience training in the house. My reaction was ‘why the hell had this young woman got an Akita?! She hadn’t a clue about them!’ I would guess it won’t be long before the dog is being rehomed.

Hi, I saw that same programme, to me it just showed her up as being totally unsuitable to own a dog of any breed
Also on the same programme was the RSPCA rescuing a small Bull terrier bitch who was in a hell of a mess…..starving, skin & eye problems , but she was put on medication & in 2 days she was wagging her tail, looking & feeling so much better & what did they do PUT HER TO SLEEP !!!
I for one will never support the RSPCA
When you think of the fabulous work Bev & her team do
Now they are what I call Rescuer’s!!!

I agree the woman shouldn’t have any dogs – she hasn’t a clue. Who on earth approved her to have an Akita? I didn’t realise the white bull terrier had been pts – I missed that bit! Why?!
