Last week I posted a comment from a volunteer in Spain, that many perreras kill ALL the dogs in August, because they want to close down completely for the holidays. Well, Albacete Perrera is going to do just that. Over 200 dogs are due to be pts any time now! Several of them are beautiful young podencos.
L’Europe des Levriers is the French association with whom I have travelled to Spain on many rescue missions. One of the refuges they work with is in Albacete. But they can’t cope with this massive programme of euthanasia.
If there any associations who can help with taking any of the podencos, please contact Alicia on edl.alicia@gmail.com
The dogs are, in order of photos – (above) Golfus, 2 yrs; Jazz, 4 yrs; Lieber, 2 yrs; Marge, 4 yrs; Romero, 1yr; Mossa 2 yrs.
