Another happy ending for a deserving podenco. Bon Voyage Julian.
‘This little fellow is Julian the Podenco. Last October a Canadian lady named Robin Waldman visited two shelters in Spain. One was suggested by GRIN, near Sevilla, called FBM (Fundacion Benjamin Mehnert). Robin volunteered there and soon met a galgo named Iker that she decided would come back home with her in the Spring.
In the meantime she also met a Podenco named Julian who also won her heart. He had been waiting for so long, no one asked for him.
Robin could not forget him when she came back to the Canada. She forwarded pictures of Julian to FB and to GRIN so we were aware of him and that he was a very loving and sweet Podenco waiting for his chance.
Months passed and, as Robin was leaving for Spain to pick up Iker, she got an email from a wonderful couple who she had told about Julian and they told her they were interested in adopting him! Her persistence for Julian has become a reality and although she could not bring him home in March, GRIN have arranged that on May 7th 2012, Mr. Julian Podenco will be meeting his forever mom at the airport in Madrid for his flight home to the U.S.A.!
Robin will now have a chance to meet Julian again, who will now be a beloved companion at the Dewey Greyhound Gathering on the East Coast, USA, this coming autumn 2012. All that to say, thank you to everyone for helping Julian on to his forever wonderful life.
Little miracles happen for those waiting long enough…’
