  • Animal Rescue Spain – podenco saved just in time

Animal Rescue Spain starved podenco 2 400
Animal Rescue España is asking for donations.

It was dusk when Luis and Arantxa, who were on a trip in Almeria, saw a skeletal podenca asking for help with the gaze, without strength. They called us and we decided to help them, she deserved it. They moved her to Madrid and now Genovesa, which they have called her, starts her new life with us. It is pure bone, hunger and abandonment, spoiled inhumanity, accomplices of this abuse for ignoring this injustice.

Help us save Genoese with a donation, among all we will make it possible.

Will you help us continue saving lives?

  • Spain is still in the dark ages – no help for the hunting dogs

    Chained galga 400 2 2022
    From Yo Galgo.

Yeah!! The Government approves the processing of the Animal Welfare Law that includes hunting and working dogs, which will be treated like any other dog. Moreover, this law, approved a week ago in the Council of Ministers, will not only protect pets but all vertebrates as a whole. Wow!! Among other things, we celebrate that: Dog owners will have to become breeders and register as such if they want to breed animals. Whoever has five specimens must be registered as a zoological nucleus. Working dogs will have to meet conditions from the point of view of occupational risk prevention; they will not carry out professional activities until they are 18 months of age. All dogs must be registered as such in the Registry of Companion Animals. Hunting dogs that are kept or have access to the exterior of the houses and may have uncontrolled contact with others must be sterilized. As for giving away or selling a hunting dog to people not registered in the Breeders’ Registry, the dog must be spayed or with the commitment of its sterilization.

ONLY this is the real truth!

  • URGENT help needed for a little podenca

    Morena Rut podenca 400 2 2022
    Please help.

    From Moreno Rut.

@Patitas por el Mundo is a tiny association of only two people, Angeles and Virginia in Huelva. They are literally drowning in abandoned animals and it turns out that they rescued this little girl and she is epileptic and already all her possible adoptions have fallen and have no way to pay for her treatment or home. So she is quiet and they do not even have funds to pay for the residences and the others. This situation is very serious

It’s a complete love of a dog, only 5 kilos and is looking for responsible adoption because she has epilepsy and these two women are helping her after rescuing her but her tests and feeding are very expensive and they have run out of money. In fact, they’ve had to ask for a loan to pay debts because there’s no donations to feed the cat colonies, nor the dogs on the street or pay the vet bills and still, they’re still drowning helping animals.

  • Podencos – foster homes needed for rescued hounds

    PINS Canela 400 2 2022
Appeal from PINS – Podencos In Need Scotland.

‘Fostering! Always a tricky subject. We have many regular Fosterers who do a wonderful job over and over again, and we’re very aware that some of these dogs (or all of them) will take a little bit of their foster parent’s heart away with them when they move to their forever home. Some people find it so upsetting that they don’t feel they can do it again, or they have to take a long break to get over the heartbreak. But we ask you all to try and detach a bit of your brain from the trauma of them leaving and use it to congratulate yourself on a job well done and a life saved.

Fosterers are an absolute essential part of the journey for many dogs, and without you, they may languish in a shelter for years.
