‘We took this picture to show how close and dangerous these men are. The picture shows how close he was to our house, and he fired his shotgun next to the dog pens. The other hunter at the top of the hill, behind our house, we saw him shoot his gun towards the house, at a rabbit running, most hunters locally, respect that this is our home, but out of town hunters, just do what they want, and that’s to kill……’
Pity the podencos with him, what will he do with them when hunting ends…

Podenca Carina in Murcia – waiting for ever for her forever home
Ricardo, Lilly and Xandra – podencos with Bev Farmer, left today for their forever homes in Sweden. Rescue of the shopping list pups’ here.
I’d now like to introduce you to Carina, another fabulous podenca in foster with Bev and Warren. She is a gentle loving happy podenca and has been desperately waiting for her forever family for too long.
Bev says, ‘Carina is 6 years old, she had been in a shelter for a least 18 months before she came to us a year ago, I don’t know her history before then.

Podenco pups abandoned on the street – 3 now safe with Scooby Medina
For adoption in Scooby, Medina: 3 podenco pups, sisters, just 3 months old. They were found abandoned in the street, very, very skinny and a fourth one, a little brother was already dead. Contact Scooby direct if you can offer them a wonderful forever home.
