The Podenco is a loyal, faithful animal, who will give all its being for its owner, whether for good or for bad. If he is lost or abandoned he will stay on the site for months waiting for his hunter, until someone sees him and rescues him.
Something incredibly incomparable is her look, a look so tender, so clean, so sad, so expressive, so penetrating, that if her eyes cross yours for a few seconds, you’ll be attracted to them forever.
The Podenco has an amazing character, it can live with any kind of animal, plus it’s fantastic with children and the elderly.
It’s a strong and long-lasting breed, they rarely fall sick.
It can live perfectly in a flat, it will just need a good bed and a good couch, it’s something that drives them crazy. But he needs exercise, walk, run (always in closed and safe places). If he gets out enough, when he gets home, he’ll lay apart on the couch as long as he is and spend hours in a “let me sleep” position, plus they have the ability to “fold up” to take up less space. This is incredible! They make a stool like they want to disappear to be calm.
How much courage it gives to animals as extraordinary as they are, to be exploited, mistreated, maimed, killed…
They are the big forgotten, completely invisible at the time of adoption, no one stares at them, the protectors and dog kennels are full of them, in the doggies they are the first to fall, because they know they won’t come out.
