Tragic news that Irene Allen, who along with her husband Steve founded Hope for Podencos, sadly due to illness lost her fight for live on 17th August. She leaves behind an incredible legacy.

There are no words to express my sorrow at such
heartbreaking news of Irene, wonderful saviour of
the beautiful Podencos. Theirs is the loss but we must
redouble all efforts to save more and more of these.

I shall think of her when I look into the eyes of my own
two Podencos and will tell their sad story to anyone who will listen.
I send all our love to those loving people at Hope for
Podencos and will them to carry on in Irene”s name.
