Tenerife, Gran Canaria – 5 podencos rescued from hell

Albergue 1 400 2 2020
Once again, we run out of words….

From the Albergue Valle Colino shelter. Five Dogs have been rescued from hell in which they lived.

Their owner, a hunter who has already been identified, had them in a cave of a ravine in Tabaiba. On our arrival, they had no water, no food and they were in full sun.

As you can appreciate in the images, the dogs are in lousy conditions, hungry and infested with ticks.

They are currently in our facilities and under the care of our veterinary team.

At the moment, they are not in adoption, but we will keep reporting and as soon as they can, they will need a home to live,

We want to highlight the importance of denouncing, because thanks to those who saw them in that situation and denounced the authorities, they are finally today safe.

Finally, highlight the work and participation in this rescue of the civil guard of Radazul and the local police of el Rosario.

OMG How anyone can do this kind of cruelty to anything alive, is beyond me! And to a dog! A loving, loyal and kind sentient being Why?

It’s unbelievable isn’t it. I’ve never in all my years of publicising about the podencos and galgos seen any dogs so covered in ticks! Never mind the other conditions they were kept in. The Spanish hunters really are inhuman.
