Update on Carley, from Bev Farmer.

‘Carley had her xrays and ultrasound this week and it wasnt the news I needed to hear … the cancer has spread to one of her lymph glands but her lungs are clear. They cant operate and remove the lymph gland its attached to an artery . They have recommended chemo to slow it down but there are no guarantees.

So here I am again having to make the difficult decision what to do that is best for for her. It would be the same treatment protocol Midas had a number of sessions via IV and then with tablets. At the moment I feel life is so unfair Carley is a gentle soul so kind natured she does not deserve this.

If people only neutered their dogs it would reduce the chances of mammary tumours and also Pyometra also for male dogs prostrate cancer. Dont spay a female and you could be faced with the same difficult decision and putting them through a painful and invasive surgery to remove the mammary chain .

For now Carley is very happy in herself she is even doing zoomies around the paddock she is enjoying life, hasnt a care in the world and that is how it should be.’
