The volunteers in Spain who live constantly with the plight of abandoned dogs…especially hunting breeds…do amazing work tirelessly. Here’s the latest arrival with Podenco Friends, working hand in hand with another Spanish rescue association. Bev tells the story.
’18/9/2018. Welcome to Vicente who arrived an hour ago we have to thank Vicente Cervero Lopez and his team of SOS Rescue for rescuing him. Vincente was living at a petrol station and it’s taken many weeks to catch him. They even set up a specialist trap with the automated gate but he just wouldn’t go in. Finally today he was caught and we got the call they are on their way. He is very nervous at the moment so we have left him to settle for the night but for the first time he has a warm bed to sleep in and is not dodging traffic.
SOS Rescue are a Spanish team who go out and help catch abandoned dogs all over Spain and, working with rescues,’ are able to find places for the dogs. Only working together can we help save these Podencos
