Vero – podenco rescued from the highway

This is a short video of little Vero, which I took on my visit to Pepis Dog Refuge in September 2016. Jane Brian received a call from her vet that there was a puppy injured in the village of Pedrera and could the refuge take him. I went with Jane to collect him from the vet surgery and here he is in the ‘hospital’, plucking up courage to come outside to play! He now has his forever home in the UK, named Dobby.

This is one of the many cases Jane and Alan deal with every week and why we continually need to donate and raise funds to pay the vet bill. Here are some ideas which you could do to raise funds and awareness and how to donate.

TRISHA is this month’s Dog of the Month – still waiting for a forever home. A lovely dog who doesn’t want to spend the rest of her life at the refuge…
