Podenca Angelique in Lanzarote – a lovely surprise

Do you remember Angelique/Tata, the podenca in Lanzarote who was badly beaten about the head by her cazadore? Well, here’s the latest news.

It won’t come as a surprise to many of you to learn that Natalie and Martin (foster Mummy and Daddy) have decided to officially adopt Angelique – she could not have wished for a better home! If you haven’t heard of Angelique’s story please have a look on this link. She was found after wandering the streets for 3 days in horrific condition, she had three fractures to the skull and lost both of her eyes.

This girl is a miracle and a lesson to us all. She is a fighter, forgiving, very brave and just incredible! We would like to take this opportunity to thank so many of you that have helped to make a second chance possible for Angelique – Hugo for getting her to safety, Carolina the vet for saving her life, Beverley for her constant support, to the Guardia Civil and the Policia Local for bringing her owner to justice, to all of you wonderful people who donated towards her care and helped to spread her story far and wide and of course huge thanks to Natalie and Martin for nursing her back to health, loving her and making her dreams come true.’
