URGENT! Podenco, starving, sick and dying in Gesser killing station

Podenco Gesser 250 1This podenca is in Gesser killing station, Cadiz, Almeria. Can’t anyone take her. And don’t tell me there is a God, that allows innocent animals to suffer like this! I gave up believing a long time ago, because too many animals all over the world suffer unnecessarily, at the hands of man! Finally got an email address! gloryfranjose@hotmail.com

    Hi there,
I live in the south of England and would really like to help in some way. We already have 2 rescue cases (podenco and galga) and cannot take on anymore dogs as we’re in rented accommodation.
However, I have printed off the pictures and will photocopy them and take them along to our dog obedience class today and hand them out. What I really need to know is,if anyoneis interested in taking one of the rescue cases, how do we get the dog over to the UK?

Thanks to both of your comments Jenny & Kim.
Please could you contact me on icelandicbear@yahoo.co.uk regarding the transportation to the Uk as I need to have an idea of the cost. Also the dog will need to have its Pet Passport and all the jabs etc need to be in order.
I’ll write to the email gloryfranjose@hotmail.com and see what the situation is.
Thanks for all your help and I just wish I could do more….

Latest news is that Vita, as she has been called, has been moved to a separate kennel to begin treatment; she will be taken out Tuesday along with two galgos also being saved, and go into a foster home. Refugio Kimba have agreed to take her on and send her to Belgium for rehoming, when she is stronger. So good news for this hound.
But there are plenty others, Ellen, which would love to come to you!

yes I’ve heard the good news from Gloria…that’s fantastic news…I’ll kep trying to make people in my area aware of the podenco situation and try and bring a few of them over to the UK in the future. I’ve contacted one company that deals with pet transport to the UK but I got quoted £400 from Valencia to London so we’d need to find a cheaper way…
thanks to everyone for all their work with the podencos and galgos…
