Here’s another beautiful podenco abandoned on the streets of Jaen, lucky to escape being injured on the road. She’s affectionate with females, but terrified of men (what a surprise!). We’ve have a temporary home for her but we need to find somewhere else before 10th May. Has anyone room for her?

Scooby Auction 15th May – Donations urgently needed
Dear friends,
It is hard to believe that this year will be our 3rd Scooby North America Auction. Actually, we are having 2 auctions this year. One in June and another in December. In the past two years, with your help we have raised enough money to help install a much-needed tile floor in the Hospital and Surgery Center and build numerous brick shelters in the paddocks at the Scooby Animal Refuge in Medina del Campo, Spain.
This year we are hoping that with your generosity we can build a much needed puppy house. The puppy house will be fully insulated, including the floor. There will be whelping boxes for mom and her pups and a doggy door for the mothers to use the outside areas before the puppies are ready. There will also be room for them to play and romp around and of course beds for them to sleep without always having to be under foot.

Judy Kleinbongardt is passionate about podencos. She has her own website and she has also written a book about the Podencos, which concentrates on the podencos from Spain – from the organisations and the perreras.
