Do you remember the appeal for help for Chas and Dave, two podenco puppies rescued in Cadiz and needing foster and forever homes. We arranged for them to go to Bev Farmer in Murcia and here is a fabulous photo of them with her husband Warren. That’s the two boys, the tinies each side of the other podencos. I only read this story today, no one contacted me with the appeal. I might have been able to help – put people in touch with each other where others – it’s what I do ‘behind the scenes’ at Podenco Post and Galgo News. So many people tried to help when those who were asked first and should have helped DID NOTHING! So sad. She could have been saved….

Seville Podencas desperately needing forever families
This little beauty is Lila, a 2yr old podenca rescued by Macu in Seville. She and her 3 friends are desperately waiting for their forever families. They are all 2-3 years old. Podenco Andaluz puppy Spok – Last Chance Animal Rescue, Malaga appeal
Danielle tells us about this Podenco Andaluz puppy. ‘This little boy Spok is in desperate need of his forever home, all 6 of his siblings have homes, so he is all alone with no home. I rescued his pregnant mum from a kill shelter. Can anyone give this little boy a home, he is small and will be knee height when fully grown. He loves other dogs, cats and children. 3 podencos from Seville to Murcia – please donate to transport costs
Meet podencos Chas and Dave. 3 months old, they were found abandoned in Cadiz and Bev Farmer has said she will take them. She’s also offered to take podenco Solo, who has been with Pepis Dog Refuge in Seville where no one has shown any interest in this lovely boy. Chris Marshall has said he can collect the 3 podencos from Seville and take them to Bev in Murcia on 5th July. The cost is 75 euros per dog. Podencos looking for forever homes – with Pepis Refuge, Pedrera, Seville
Pepis Refuge, Pedrera, Seville, have suffered more hardship than any refuge deserves – parvo outbreak, dogs deliberately poisoned, 2 mud slides through the kennels in the torrential winter rain, loss of Internet connection for a few weeks during winter, Alan ill, Jane in hospital…

Valencia perrera – 2 podenco puppies – please help
Valencia pound. On death row. Two brothers, about six months old, precious and super friendly. They have honey-coloured eyes. One is a bit more suspicious than the other, are very funny because if you tell them things, the one on the right will wags its tail and get belly up and give kisses, because he wants to come, but as his brother is more cautious (I’m sure on the street he has survived thanks to him) he tells his brother not to come, and is constantly taking care of both.
Hopefully someone can help the two together because they are very close. One without the other could not survive on the street. They are identical twins. Will be tall, because they are still puppies, appear to be Ibizans.

Podenca murdered in Motril – the citizens of Granada protest
So many of the Spanish hate the treatment of hunting dogs by the galgueros and gitanos and here is another example of the outrage they feel. Podenca murdered in Motril
We want justice and that our complaint does not fall on deaf ears. For this reason, have organized a protest at the gates of the Government delegation in Granada on Saturday 25 May at 12 in the morning.

Podenco Andaluz puppies needing forever homes
Danielle White is fostering Amber, a Podenca Andaluz, and her puppies. She gave birth to 7 healthy babies, 4 boys and 3 girls who are now 6 weeks old. Some have been found forever homes but she still needs homes for 3 boys. She says Amber has a wonderful nature.
