England 2013 – unbelievable! Please join the campaign to help these animals
You all know that my main work is helping the galgos and podencos in Spain, and supporting the work of the refuges and shelters there. But occasionally something happens elsewhere which enrages me. This is one such story. Please read about it on this link on Galgo News and if you too are appalled, please copy and paste the letter into an email and send to the address given. Thank you.

Podenco Andaluz puppies needing forever homes
Danielle White is fostering Amber, a Podenca Andaluz, and her puppies. She gave birth to 7 healthy babies, 4 boys and 3 girls who are now 6 weeks old. Some have been found forever homes but she still needs homes for 3 boys. She says Amber has a wonderful nature.
If anyone can offer a forever home to one of these little beauties or would like more information, please contact Danielle direct.

Sad news about podenca Angela – rescued from Valencia perrera
More sad news from Bev Farmer, this time about Angela, the chocolate podenca rescued from Valencia perrera. After she and her vet worked hard to diagnose Angela’s health problems, and Angela starting on the road to recovery, last week Angela’s health took a turn for the worse. Sadly, on Thursday, they had to make the sad decision that there was nothing more to be done for her. Please send healing thoughts to Bev. Podenca Blanka died in her arms, and now she has lost Angela, all in the space of a week.

Podenca Malaika – simply stunning!
Bev Farmer takes the most fantastic photos of the podencos in her charge. This one is Malaika, rescued from a golf course and with an horrendous scar down her back. You can donate to the podencos in Bev’s care Paypal podencofriends@hotmail.co.uk, also if you are interested in adopting one, email her podencofriends@hotmail.co.uk. (Bev has hopefully picked up the oldie from Valencia too)

Sad news about the oldie in Valencia perrera
Dreadful news. Bev went to Valencia perrera for the oldie today – the perrera vet saw her yesterday, yet said nothing. As soon as Bev saw the oldie, she could tell she was dying…even the perrera staff agreed …the oldie died with Bev. Bastard galguero, using and abusing a sweet soul for 11 years, and not having the decency to pts her kindly and end her suffering!
