After the 25th May successful demonstration in Granada and other Spanish cities after the brutal shooting and death of Podi the podenca, Maria Mercedes Garcia Mauri says ‘the next step is to persuade the people who saw the murderer with the gun right after the gun shots and the dog coming out screaming, covered in blood and deathly wounded, to TELL THE GUY´S FULL NAME TO THE AUTHORITIES, so that justice can be made. I do not know whether we will manage it or not, but I tell you…I will try HARD!!’ We wish her all success

they must give the name for the sake of podi and the sake of all other podencos and galgos these evil gets got to be brought to justice and that will be calm compared to what podi went though and thousands of other poor little souls like her
I’m printing the petition with slight alterations and posting a copy to the mayoress and one to the Junta woman – one letter is worth a great many signatures on a petition – MPs in Britain used to say that one letter equals 3,000 signatures! It’s probably more now, with the internet. I hope to do the same for those Portuguese dogs and more. We know that letter-writing campaigns often work – Amnesty International and Survival have demonstrated it.
