  • Fundacion Benjamin Mehnert – saving the podencos in Sevillia

FBM Bashira 1 250 1 2016Here are stories from Levriers sans Frontieres about 2 podencos, now safe with Fundacion Benjamin Mehnert in Seville, and who will eventually come to France for forever homes.

Here’s the story of the first one, Bashira. After she was found at the roadside, throughout the journey to the shelter, she has not moved, not cried. she is so courageous and yet what she must suffer! She was rushed to the vet for urgent operation. Upon her arrival she was supported by Lillian, the veterinarian at the FBM, who took xrays. The legs are fractured, put in splints whilst waiting for an operation by the orthopedist. Under anaesthetic, her injuries have been disinfected and she was given antibiotic. This tiny podenca is barely a year old, what a terrible start to its life.

    neck. He’s been named Noel.

He has been promised a home where he will find love and protection forever. Could it be with you??

  • The ultimate trust – Podenco Anubis and his vet

Yet another stunning photo by Bev Farmer of Podenco Friends. This is Anubis who was taken to visit his vet because of concerns that he was not gaining weight. So many dogs are afraid of their vet. Anubis is the opposite, he has complete faith. If you would like to help Bev and Warren with the dozens of podencos in their care, needing vet treatment, paypal podencofriends@hotmail.co.uk
