This poor podenco was recently rescued covered in bites, bloated from the wounds and with hardly any teeth. I have wondered if it was used a bait for dog fighting. I haven’t come across podencos being used like that, as they are not generally submissive; however I have in the past come across galgos being used as bait dogs because of their submissive nature. This poor soul was in Huelva, southern Spain.
