‘I first spotted this photo of Molino last year as I was looking on Podenco Post with a view to adopting a galgo/podenco to live with us in West Sussex. I had already a whippet which Id recently adopted and felt two dogs keep each other company.

Galgos del Sol in Murcia have just taken in this cute little podenca puppy, about 4/5 months old. Just look at those fabulous ears! She’s been named Lucia, a beautiful name for a beautiful baby. Last week I introduced you to a young podenca bitch rescued from starvation on the streets of Malaga. This was her story.
The picture you see now is of Canela today, what a difference love, care, regular food can make – in just one week. And isn’t she absolutely stunning. Here’s what Charl says about her now.
‘Canela is a podenca of a fawn type interesting colour and white, slightly rough coated. She has a tiny little face and huge ears! Rescued 2 weeks ago, she came with very very dry skin but now this is much better. She is negative in Filaria, Erlichia, Leishmania. Vaccinated, and will be sterilised, approx.4 years.
