    You can visit THE KENNEL province of Huesca, Monday through Friday from 9:30 to 13:00 h. and Tuesday and Thursday from 16:00 to 18:00 h.
    All these dogs are given up for adoption dewormed, vaccinated, passport or primer and microchipped, plus the fee for adoption.

    Huesca perrera Popo 250 4 2012Huesca perrera is, like all the rest in Spain, full to overflowing with abandoned dogs – pedigree dogs (4 English setters), puppies, beautiful xbreeds, alsations, labradors…and some podencos.

    This is what the vet at Huesca says. ‘ I am Jose and I work in the kennel in Huesca, We try to find a family or people who sponsor the dogs we have, until they are adopted, so first of all thank your for your concern with the dogs because we need people who want to co-operate and help us.

  • Huesca perrera – dozens of podencos hoping for a home

    Huesca perrera Katy 1 yr 250 2 2012Huesca is a small city in north eastern Spain, in the province of Aragon. It’s not a province with galgo hunting, rather hunting with podencos. If you don’t know the podenco breed, then read all about them, and the different types, on Podenco Post.

    Like the galgos, podencos are not a breed which are often adopted by the Spanish but, also like the galgos, they make fabulous companion dogs. There are dozens of them in the Perrera of Huesca, waiting to find out what life has in store for them. The photos are on Facebook, for those of you who use Facebook The person to contact at the perrera is the vet, joseabarca@internacionalplayers.comand the person you have to talk to if you want to know something about the dogs and if you want to reserve any. There are a lot of podencos there who need help. Here are somebetween 6 – 12 months old.
